In 2014, I had the honor of serving as the Lead 3D Artist for the award winning Gloria Sports Arena Image Film project. This high profile endeavor showcased the cutting edge sports complex’s unparalleled facilities, located in Belek Antalya, Turkey. Spanning 105,000 square meters, the Gloria Sports Arena is a modern marvel, hosting over 50 sports disciplines with state of the art indoor, outdoor, and aquatic facilities.
About the Project
Our objective was to visualize the Gloria Sports Arena’s all in one training complex with an emphasis on intricate details and storytelling. Instead of relying on generic montages, the film focused on close up transitions that seamlessly connected scenes, highlighting the essence of each facility. For example:
A line from the athletic track transitioned into an arrow.
The arrow connected to the band of a volleyball court.
The volleyball ball transitioned into a hockey ball.
These creative transitions revealed the Gloria Sports Arena’s vast offerings while maintaining a dynamic and engaging narrative.
Responsibilities and Challenges
As the Lead 3D Artist, I was responsible for ensuring the highest level of photorealism in the visuals. My responsibilities included:
3D Modeling and Texturing
